Victoria Barros embodies the new generation of South American tennis. The Brazilian, born in Natal, Brazil, started out playing beach tennis before taking up tennis at the age of 5. As she explained in an interview with Tennis Europe in 2023, she realised at the age of 7 that she had a talent for tennis and wanted to become a professional.

Victoria has a natural game intelligence and an exceptional touch that allow her to vary her play and find solutions in any situation. She is improving every day in how she uses her body and in her ability to withstand physical demands. A true fighter, she can sustain long rallies but is also learning to turn opportunities into proactive play. Once she succeeds in combining endurance, aggressiveness, and instinct, she will unveil her full potential as a great champion.

THE MOURATOGLOU ACADEMY

Victoria Barros has been training at the Mouratoglou Academy since January 2023, where she lives with her mother. “It’s an incredible experience. There are so many good players there and lots of different coaches. The Academy is very good and the people who work there are extraordinary with us,” the Brazilian told Tennis Europe.
