A former professional player, Tony Roche claimed the Roland Garros singles title in 1966. In Doubles, Tony won 13 Grand Slam titles as well as 2 in the mixed event
Tony reached the 8th place on the ATP rankings and won 4 Davis Cups with the National Australian team.
Tony ROCHE has been a renowned coach for the past 25 years, claiming 16 Grand Slam singles titles with the players he worked with :
- In the 1980’s, Tony started a collaboration with Ivan Lendl that lasted for more than ten years during which Lendl became the n°1 player in the world and won 8 Grand Slam titles
- From 1997 to 2002, Tony coached Patrick Rafter. Rafter became the n°1 player in the world in 1999. During Tony's tenure at his side, Rafter claimed two US Open trophies and reached the Wimbledon finals twice
- From 2005 to 2007, Tony worked with Roger Federer. With Tony at this side, Federer won 6 Grand Slam events while enjoying the number 1 position in the ATP rankings.
