Peter Lundgren

Peter Lundgren  was born on January 29, 1965 in Gudmundra, Sweden.

Peter is one of the five world leading experts in terms of tennis coaching.
 
A professional player between 1983 and 1996, Peter reached number 25 in the ATP rankings in 1985 and won three titles in singles and in doubles as a player n the ATP Tour.
 
As a coach, his results speak for themselves, having had the privilege - among other things - to work with three world number ones: 

  • In 1996: Peter coaches Marcelo Rios
  • From 2000 to 2003: Peter coaches Roger Federer with whom he wins Wimbledon in 2003 and reaches the ATP  N°1 ranking 
  • From 2004 to 2006: Peter works with Marat Safin who wins the Australian Open in 2005 and also becomes World N°1. Marat announced after his Australian Open succes: “I never believed in myself until I started working with Peter Lundgren”  
  • From 2006 to 2007, Peter is the captain of the Great Britain Davis Cup.  
Currently Coach for the Elite Pro Team at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, Peter Lundgren trains the great world junior talent, Grigor Dimitrov.
