Jan 21, 2010, Yanina WICKMAYER joins Mouratoglou Tennis Academy
The Mouratoglou Tennis Academy has strengthened its 'Elite Pros Group' with the 20-year old Belgian rising star Yanina Wickmayer, WTA 16.

Yanina entered the WTA Top 20 thanks to stunning performances throughout 2009. She claimed two WTA titles in Linz & Estoril, and also remarkably reached the US OPEN Semi-finals.

This young player just confirmed her breakthrough by winning the 2010 season opening tournament 'Auckland ASB Classic'.

A dedicated Mouratoglou team will offer her coaching advice, monitor her physical preparation and provide high-calibre sparring at the Academy and on tour.
Yanina Wickmayer has decided to persue her rise to the highest level with Mouratoglou Tennis Academy. She is convinced that this new turn in her career will enable her to climb even higher in the future WTA rankings.

Yanina will join with Aravane Rezai, Jelena Dokic, Sorana Cirstea and Grigor Dimitrov who together make up the 'Elite Pros Group'.

Continuing with the strong will of accompanying the big hopes of International Tennis to the highest level, the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy has strengthened its Elite Pros group with 3 new talents.

Former Coach of Marcos Baghdatis (ex ATP 8) and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (World Junior Champion and WTA 27- April 09), Patrick MOURATOGLOU will start the 2010 season working with Aravane REZAI, 22 years old and ranked 25th WTA. This recent collaboration has already shown great results as with the victory of Aravane in the Masters of Bali, a prestigious tournament that gathers some of the best WTA players. Aravane concluded this season by climbing to the 25th position, the best WTA ranking of her career, and ended up as the 3rd best French player.

After her remarkable performance in Melbourne at the beginning of the 2009 season, making her comeback into the highest level, Jelena DOKIC (ex world N°4 in 2002) ended-up brightly this season at the 56th WTA position. Jelena confirmed her great level by claiming 2 ITF 100,000 $ tournaments (Athens and Poitiers). The Australian and her coach, Croatian Borna BIKIC, will now join the Mouratoglou Elite Pros group, surrounded by a dedicated team.

Roland-Garros’ quarter finalist, Sorana CIRSTEA, the young 19-year-old Romanian player, ranked 45th WTA had known an impressive improvement in 2009. Sorana has decided to pursue her evolution on the WTA tour for the 2010 season with the Mouratoglou Academy and its specialists. The Slovakian Vladimir PLATENIK (former coach of Dominika Cibulkova) willl also become part of the Elite Pros and will coach Sorana.

Five Elite Pros players and 6 Rising Players of the Mouratoglou Academy will be competing at the 2010 Australian Open.
Dec 8, 2009, Daria Gavrilova, Sachia Vickery and Luke Bambridge win EDDIE HERR tiltle
The Mouratoglou Rising Players team established itself at the prestigious EDDIE HERR tournament in the 3 categories U18, U16 and U14.

Daria Gavrilova, 15 years old and ranked 5 ITF junior has been training at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy since January 2009.
The Roland Garros finalist and US Open semi- finalist, third seed of the tournament, earned her second consecutive Eddie Herr Cristal Globe by downing the Chinese Di Zhao in 3 sets.
She wins the Girl’s 18 title and reaches the finals of the Girls’18 doubles.

Sachia Vickery, American, 14 years old, climbs her way to the title.
This talented player, member of the “rising players” of the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, Top seed in the Girls’16 wins her first Eddie Herr title. She took her revenge after finishing as runner-up in the 12s two years ago.

Luke Bambridge, the young English Player is two-time winner with single & double titles U14.
Fifth seed player, Luke, new recruit of the Mouratoglou tennis academy won the tournament defeating the American Thai Kwiatkowski in 3 sets.
Bambridge became the tournament's only two-time champion by winning also the double’s title with his partner Christopher Pearce.
