Oct 5, 2009, Miki Jankovic wins the Tennis Europe Junior Masters in Napoli, Italy
Rising Player at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy since 1st of December 2008, Miki Jankovic, born 26/09/94 won the European Masters under 16.
Jankovic swept to the final with straight sets, winning over Connor Glennon (GBR) and Lukas Mugevicius (LTU). Finally, his opponent for the final, Michele Palma, was a home player and gave Jankovic his toughest test of the weekend even though he won in 2 sets 7-5 6-4.
The Junior Masters is an elite event for the top eight best-performing European players on the Tennis Europe Junior Tour. Former Masters champions include Rafael Nadal, Tommy Robredo and Kim Clijsters.
Ranked 5th ETA under 16 (European Ranking) before the tournament, Miki Jankovic reaches the 1st place at this ranking after his win.
Sep 25, 2009, Daria GAVRILOVA,Russian, reaches the semi-final of the US OPEN JUNIOR 2009
Young 15-year-old player and seeded player n°9, Daria GAVRILOVA, member of Academy Mouratoglou reaches the junior semi-final of the US OPEN 2009.
She eliminates successively the seeded player n°6 Njiric Silvia in the last sixteen, then in quarterfinal; the seeded player n°14 Cepelova Jana in two winning sets 6-4 6-4. She is defeated in semi-final against the winner of the tournament Heather Watson ( GBR).
Currently 11th in the Junior ITF ranking, Daria will compete for the final phase of the Junior Fed Cup with the Russian team in Mexico.
Aug 24, 2009, Michelle LARCHER DE BRITO joins the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy
A new world talent on the women’s professional tennis tour becomes a part of the Academy: the young Portuguese Michelle Larcher de Brito, 16 years-old and already in the top 100 WTA.
She reached the Top 100 WTA in June 2009, climbing up to the 76th world position, thanks to good performances on the Grand Slams and major tournaments, notably at Roland Garros 2009 where she qualified and reached the 3rd round.
Michelle already has claimed a number of victories over players in the Top 20, such as Jie ZHENG, Flavia PENNETTA and Agnieszka RADWANSKA. At only 16, she is by far the youngest player inside the Top 200 WTA.
Michelle Larcher de Brito will be part of the group of Elite Pros at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, set up with some of the world’s most promising tennis players. She will be trained by her father Antonio Larcher de Brito who has been supervising her since the age of 4. Both will be assisted by a dedicated team which will monitor the physical preparation, provide high calibre sparring and during certain periods additional expert coaching advise.
Michelle will join Anastasia PAVLYUCHENKOVA and Grigor DIMITROV in the “Elite Team” group.

This talented player, member of the “rising players” of the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, reaches the semi-finals of the $10 000 in Evansville, USA, from her first participation in a professional tournament.
Barely 14, Sachia is coming from the qualifications, of which she unseats the number 2 seed before losing during the semi-finals against Elizabeth LUMPKIN (WTA 891, 23), on the score of 6/3, 7/6.
This performance will enable Sachia to get her first points on the WTA ranking, while pursuing her ascent in the top 100 ITF.
Jul 27, 2009, Daria GAVRILOVA, 15, Russian, semi-finalist of the under 16 European championships in Moscow
Daria GAVRILOVA reaches the semi-finals of the European championships. After leading 4 matches, notably against the number 6 seed and the number 13 seed, she loses against her compatriot Polina VINOGRADOVA, winner of the tournament.
Currently ranked 12 ITF Junior, Daria will be present as a seeded player for the next Junior Grand Slam US Open.

Finalist of the Grade 1 ITF Berlin tournament the past week, Yulia, member of the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy Rising players wins the Grade 1 ITF Linz tournament. She defeats in final the Ukrainian Elina Svitolina with a score of 6/3 6/4. Thanks to this victory, Yulia 14 years-old, has climbed her way to the 23 ITF ranking.
Winner of the prestigious 2009 Petits As tournament, this young Russian player has realized the most important progression in 2009, swipping more than 1400 ITF ranking in 7 months.
